Colonel (Retired) Richard (Rich) Allen Krebs, born January 25, 1943, passed away on February 28, 2015 at the age of 72 due to complications following a twenty-four year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

Rich was a graduate of Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio, Indiana Institute of Technology in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Florida Technological University in Orlando, Florida. While at Indiana Tech, Rich was one of the founding fathers of the local chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Rich was a 26 year veteran of the United States Air Force. Rich spent much of his career in research and development, most notably as part of the AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile) team. He retired from the position of Vice Commander of the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Air Force Base.

Rich is survived by his wife Linda Hartline Krebs, along with daughters Lara Kimbrell (Rob) and Jennifer Pafford, grandchildren Robby and Grace Kimbrell, sisters Burdine Mowery (Denny) and Shirley McCann (Jim), sister-in-law Marcia Schmidt, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy Krebs, his parents-in-law Warren and Betty Hartline, and sister and brother-in-law Norma and Jack Isler.

A visitation hour will be held on Sunday, March 8 from 3-4pm at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church (450 Lee Avenue, Satellite Beach), immediately followed by services at 4pm. An internment with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ALS Association or a charity of personal choice.
